This tour is dedicated to relax and natural oasis, as you will be introduced in the most beautiful and peaceful areas of Comino Valley, in order to discover the simplicity of these places and be fascinated from their surprising environment.

The starting point is Posta Fibreno Natural Reserve, at the bottom of Apennine Mountains, where the waters coming from all around flow into the homonymous lake that is about 2, 5 meters deep with a particular elongated shape. Moreover it is possible to see the famous floating isle, also named by the roman writer Pliny the Elder in its “Historia Naturalis”: a 30 meters large piece of overgrown land, which moves in the lake, pushed by the water.

It’s also possible to have a bird watching tour all around the Reserve, to observe the many species that live around the lake. The itinerary continues up to the Latium, Abruzzo and Molise National Park, in the Canneto Valley, rich in beech woods crossed by the Melfa River.

Here it is possible to walk around the park, riding a horse or just trekking up to the mountains. For those who prefer the atmosphere of a mountain village instead, we suggest San Donato V.C., one of the most characteristic of the Valley, here it is possible to visit the interesting Geologic Museum, where the nature of the whole area is explained and shown through the most modern instruments.
